FORT STEELE CAMPGROUND RATES

We are a favourite place for bicycle tours, motorcycle tours, and family get-togethers. Call for more information.
The Rates for the Fort Steele Campground are based on 2 people per site, with one car or truck per site:

Non-serviced site is $22.21 plus taxes.
Power site is $26.75 plus taxes. (Water included/available)
Full service (power, water & sewer) site is $27.76 plus taxes.

NOTE: The BC government is instituting a new tax effective July 1st, 2010. The new tax, HST, adds a sales tax to camping sites not previously there. This effectively increases the cost of camping by 7%. This is beyond our control! (We’re not happy about it either, but please complain to the Government - don’t blame us!). We have maintained our prices for three years now, and will continue to do so, however the tax will be added beginning July 1st.

Extra people are $1.75 plus tax IF THEY LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD ($5.00 per person otherwise).
(children under 2 years of age are free)

(All prices are Canadian Funds - CASH ONLY - NO CREDIT CARDS or BANK CARDS!)
Visa wants to charge us 5% PLUS a service charge PER TRANSACTION PLUS $9.00/month for 12 months!
Then they won't guarantee payment! I guess the banks aren't making as much money as they want - well... we're not supporting this!
So, it's cash only.

Weekly discount applies when you pay for 6 nights, you can stay for 7!
NOTE: To obtain this rate, you must pay in advance. We don’t want to chase after you!
The overnight prices include unlimited use of the swimming pool, sani-dump, picnic table, fire pit, (we have a fire pit on EVERY site, not just two for the whole place like at the Esso Campground!), nature trails, washrooms, and showers for our REGISTERED GUESTS!


We no longer take reservations
Weird, eh? In order to enjoy our summer, we have decided to simplify our lives. One of the changes, is to stop taking reservations. First come, first served! We enjoy our campground, and we especially enjoy the people who stay with us! (And there are more and more of you each year!). If you really, really, really, can't travel without making a reservation - then you probably wouldn't like it here anyway - so please find a campground that's on a highway near a railway track somewhere! (And, if you don't find that humorous - you probably wouldn't enjoy our place anyway! )

With another camping place nearby that copied our name years ago (and even puts OUR name on THEIR website - no wonder campers are confused!), we spend far too much time trying to assist people in finding us as well as helping those who, meaning to head for the other place and have lost their way, have arrived at our campground by mistake. If you end up at the "Esso Gas Station Campground" then you are at the wrong place! (... or if you really, really, really need a reservation to travel, then you'd be at the right place!)

We do believe that only the good people will stay with us, and we are confident that only the good people will find us!
As we hear every day - "THIS is a nice campground!"



Visitors Policy: No Visitors!
And since it’s a nice campground, it would seem that some registered guests want to bring their friends here to visit. However, this is a camping campground, NOT a visitor’s campground! If you are coming to the area and want to visit with someone – GO TO THEIR PLACE – don’t invite them here!
