Bohemian Waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus)
We have enjoyed having both Bohemian and Cedar Waxwings
around the campground, year-after-year. We were very
excited to watch a trio of chicks grow up in the big tree
at the front of the cabin! All summer long we watched these
three chicks grow up! There were two males and one female
(the female is in the middle of this picture), and we were
able to watch them take their first flights! (All
successfully). These birds summer range extends from Alaska
to the U.S. border, and in winter they move southward as
far south as the southern portions of the U.S.
